President: Emma Peachey

Originally from Campbell River, BC on Vancouver Island, Emma is in her fourth year at UBC in the Combined Major in Science program. Emma has been a part of the UBC Rotaract club for four years, and before that was also a member and past-president of her high school’s Interact Club. Her past roles in the Rotaract club include co-director of Local Community Service Projects and co-director of Fundraising. Emma has thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the Rotaract and Rotary family, and is excited for her year as president to be able to share that enthusiasm with others. When Emma is not busy with school and Rotaract, she enjoys running on the beaches of Kitsilano, spending time with her friends, and exploring the beautiful city of Vancouver.

Vice-President: Jessie Stirling

Jessie is a fourth year Political Science student from the charming town of Campbell River. She has been part of the Rotary family since high school and served last year as the co-Director of Local Community Service. As Vice-President, Jessie looks forward to bringing our club closer to the others in District 5040. When she’s not in class, you can find her watching re-runs of the Office, drinking margaritas, and letting down her trivia team.

Fundraising Director: Simran Samra

I’m a third year biochemistry student and I’ve been involved with Rotaract since my first year. I love living on campus, birds and going on hikes.

Community Projects Directors: JP Navarro

Hey! My name’s JP and I’m this year’s Community Service Director! I joined Rotaract last year hoping that I can once again give my time and aid to people who need them. And I must say, I got what I came for, and then some. I enjoyed my time with Rotaract so much that I decided I wanted to have a chance to contribute more and spend more time with my fellow Rotaractors. So here I am!

Something about me.. I’m currently finishing my fourth year in biology, focusing on animal physiology and immunology. I like reading dystopian novels, jogging and recently picked up hiking.

Social Media/Membership Director: Angus Tse

I’m Angus and I’m the social and marketing director of Rotaract club of Vancouver! I’m a hyper active individual who loves to meet new people all the time. Because of all this energy I tend to do lots of sports including badminton, Krav Maga, and ultimate frisbee!

International Director: Kate Takeda

“My name is Kate and I am in charge of International Partnerships! I establish partnerships with other Rotaract Clubs and organize joint projects to promote international and cultural awareness. I am currently working toward a BSc in Chemistry.”

Secretary: Olivia Li

Hey guys! My name is Olivia and I’m going into my second year under Integrated Sciences. Though it’s mostly been self-taught, I love playing guitar and learning new song. As secretary I’ll be recording meeting minutes, sending out newsletters and managing our gmail account. I’ll always be in the loop of things so if you have any general questions on upcoming events feel free to ask!

Treasurer: Alicia Arnsdorf

My name is Alicia and I am the Treasurer for the Rotaract Club of Vancouver this year. I’m in my third year at UBC and I’m pursuing a major in Speech Sciences with a minor in Psychology. In my spare time I enjoy cycling, baking, and drawing. I joined Rotaract last year as the Social/Membership Director because I have a passion for helping others and I enjoy giving back to the community. I have met many amazing and dedicated people through Rotaract and this has made my university experience so much better.

Webmaster: Karan Grover

Karan is a second year computer science student, and this years Webmaster. Karan loves everything technology, and try’s to be very up to date with the newest things coming out. If you would like to see anything added to the website, contact Karan through the contact page.

Professional Development Conference Coordinator: Kung Mu 

Kang Mu is in his first year at UBC in the Faculty of Science and is excited to be part of the Rotaract team this year. He will be the Professional Development Conference Director this year to lead a committee to organize Vancouver Rotaract’s Annual Professional Development Conference at UBC. Outside of school, Kang Mu enjoys to play violin and play basketball for fun!
