Community Service

Volunteering in the community is an integral part of our club. Since the club was chartered in 2002, we have partnered with a number of organizations throughout Vancouver, particularly those providing services to deprived sectors of society. Club members have volunteered at Mission Possible, First United Church, and Kiwassa Neighbourhood House, among many others. Projects have ranged from soup kitchens to providing coffee and a chance to connect with homeless populations. Building relationships with our community and its residents is one of our greatest priorities.

International Service Trip

Our club has endeavoured to foster peace and goodwill with fellow Rotaract clubs worldwide. The international trip is usually carried out in partnership with Rotaract and Rotary Clubs in local communities, and with organizations that seek to empower local communities. Our last international trip took place in Sichuan, China in 2013 for a 3-week volunteer trip with the Leprosy project, an initiative carried out in conjunction with the Rotaract Club of Hong Kong.

We are also a proud sponsor of the District“Rotaract Roundtrip”. In recent years, District 5040 has organized the PACE Rotaract Trip. This trip fosters global Rotaract ties by sponsoring 6 international Rotaractors to get to know our district. Fore more information, visit the district website.
