About Us

The New Westminster Rotaract Club is a service club for adults aged 18-30. There are more than 7000 individual Rotaract clubs in over 150 countries. We are the “young” version of Rotary – one of the most influential and mobilizing volunteer clubs in the world with over 1.2 million members. We often work together with Rotary clubs to give back to our communities on an even bigger scale.

Each club does volunteer work in both the community, and on an international level. We fundraise money for causes we want to support, do hands on work in our neighbourhoods, and even take trips abroad to assist aide programs in other countries.

Check out our projects page for more information on our specific projects.

There are six Rotaract clubs in the Rotaract District 5040: New Westminster, Burnaby, North Shore, Vancouver-UBC, Vancouver-Yaletown, and Richmond. Each club aims to do one community and one international project each year. Most clubs meet biweekly, in addition to helping out at events and of course, social events.

Service is not our only goal: Rotaract also has a keen interest in professional development. Clubs have guest speakers from different careers, training conferences, and can be an excellent way to network with other professionals in and out of different fields.
